Ginger Valley Showcases

With renovations to the exterior facade of their home completed,
Jim and Patrice Waters decided it was time to renovate their landscape.
One overgrown and steep riverbank combined with visions of a grand and
serene view of the St. Joseph River created a true landscape challenge.
Ginger Valley's landscape designers and installers were invited to share
our visions and talent with Jim and Patrice during their landscape restoration.
The once wild backyard was transformed to a serene, beautiful, but simple,
riverside masterpiece. Brick pavers and retaining wall blocks, with
patterns complementing the house's stone veneer were utilized to create
entertaining and relaxing spaces on an otherwise difficult to use site.
Steps were constructed down the slope and wrapped around mature shade
trees creating a grand staircase to the river's edge. A low maintenance,
low profile planting palette was incorporated to frame the gorgeous river
views while adding a splash of color and texture to the landscape. To
help with the daunting but necessary task of erosion control about one
hundred flats of groundcover were meticulously and carefully planted
down the steep slopes.
Ginger Valley will be ready in the future to help keep this shiny new
gem in pristine condition with our full service maintenance crews,
tending to any necessary task, from pruning to weeding to fertilizing.
Our installation crews will also be ready to help expand and embellish
this already amazing river-home retreat.
